As a kid I moved into school districts that were big and ones that were tiny. For fitting in, it really didn't make a big difference. Class sizes are about the same usually, and you are in classes all day so the number of kids you are in contact with remains close except when you are in the halls. I found smaller schools a TINY bit easier because you see 1, 2 or more familiar faces in each class during the day, and large schools it may be a totally different set of kids in each class.

I don't think it is too bad, my oldest dd is in 6th grade at our middle school and they have new kids this year, it seems to be working.

In elementary in Grand Blanc they assign a child or 2 in the class to help the new kids and they usually end up as good friends. My kids seem to be picked to help the new ones and they like that exposure.

How do you like Davison schools? That was an area we were looking at also.

i live in GB and really like it. Schools are very good....yes taxes are a little high but the community is nice.

alot of foreclosures and forced sales will get you a good deal. My house was purchased in 2002 for over $220K and now you can buy it for about $170-$180.

Good luck.
