The house they moved into is off of 12 mile between Orchard Lake and I think Inkster. Horrible neighborhood with a lot of tension between neighbors due to the different ethnic back grounds. My Aunt lives at 13 mile and Haggerty and is not so thrilled with the are any more. The thing I can not stand is the traffic and congestion to get any where out in that area.

I do not know much about Redford, except, it would be a drive to get to work in F.Hills/Southfield area.

What kind of house/price are you looking at? That might help too. West Bloomfield/Farmington Hills bordering WB area is really expensive.

I had no idea this was an issue in that part of Farmington Hills. Perhaps Farmington is ready for a bout of white flight and transformation similar to what happened to Southfield in the 'Eighties. It would make sense since FH is on the border with Southfield and close to Detroit.

Price ranges we're looking at are between $200 to $300 range. Looking at the online listings there are a lot of houses for sale in that range all over Oakland county.
