Default AppleFest in Charlevoix

was a huge sucess this past weekend. Town was busting at the gills and the weather was just beautiful. You couldnt have asked for a better weekend! Apples, cider, donuts. Vegatables, pumpkins, soups and chilis. Apple dumplings and apple cake.

Ellsworth held a * NuggetFest* to celebrate the 20th Anni of the local bar, the Gold Nugget. OctoberFest style Food and beer under the tent with music ....fun times.

Boyne Mt has free chair left rides to look at the colors thru Oct 26......beautiful, just stunning ride to the top.

Boyne City had HarvestFest at Young State Park

We also drove up the Hogsback to gaze upon the Jordan Valley......breath taking.......

IT was an absolute perfect weekend in Northern Michigan

It truly was gorgeous. We went up to the Soo this weekend, and I have never seen the colors so outstanding. It was an awesome Goldwing ride!

That view from atop the hogsback is incredible MISnow. If you have any pics of that, I would be most appreciative. It'll go right on my desktop. You are right in my "old" neck of the woods there. I grew up near old state road and 66. Just a couple miles up the road towards Central Lake.

As for the "Nugget Fest" - I saw that on the ACNews. Looked like it would be good time. Last time I went to the Nugget though, I don't remember coming home. lol - darn tequila anyhow. Wish I could have made it up for this "Fest" - would have been fun to see all the old bar flies. he he he...

If I didn't live in Kalamazoo (and known about it) I would have come up. Guess I'll have to go up next year
