How is Ford downsizing going to impact economy in Flint?

What are the current industries drivng the Flint Economy?

Why has population declined in metro area over the past serval years?

How popular is the Gander MOuntain Store?

Thanks,
Economy is awful already and (GM) downsizing will make it worse.
Besides the auto industry - health care, and education. There are several colleges and universities in Flint.
Population hasn't declined in the metro area, outlying communities (Grand Blanc, Davison) are growing fast. Flint is stagnant despite low real estate prices, probably because of fear of crime, poor school, and shoddy city services.
Gander Mountain seems pretty busy, but has to compete with Cabelas 50 miles away, for the serious sportsmen & women.
