I am 22years old. When I was 19 years old i had my own apartment for about 9months before getting evicted because i was laid off from work. I have been staying with my parents every since and now I have to move out. I make over 3500/month and I have no bills besides caring for my four year old son, gas, and my cell phone. What is the likely hold of someone approving me for an apartment anywhere. Because I am going to be on the street pretty soon and I am not making any progress. Someone please provide advice.:cr ying:

There will be places that won't rent to you because of the eviction, mainly I think the ones that are owned by a big corporation- the best thing you can do, is find a smaller apartment complex, maybe a duplex or something that is personally owned, and be honest with them- a lot of times, people will understand, and rent to you anyway-

I think you will be fine. I used to work at the complex I now live at and the rule we followed was no evictions in the psat 2 years - and we were pretty strict about who we let in! You should be just fine - make sure you tell them what happened 3 years ago though b/c they probably will find out about and while they can't turn you away for lying to them they can have get a bad vibe from you and you don't want that if you end up living there.

What about the possibility of just buying a small, inexpensive condo or a mobile home?
