Lightbulb Possible solutions for you

Maybe you can get some luck on www.freecycle.org

Look at cities near your area to expand your search; there are some generous people out there; really! Post your need there.

On the other hand, one can try www.prospect.com where you may attempt to get a loan from a group of people, each pitching in. You suggest the interest rates and they approve or not, and if you have enough people who help, you may get some more cash and be able to get a better car. The lenders make a little cash on the interest but it's one way to get around a bank that says no. For this to work, 1)make your story compelling and 2) make sure you can pay the loan back on the terms agreed (tell them how you will pay it back).

Best of luck and keep your spirits up and stay positive - it makes all the difference!

michelleb_cargirl is on a distinguished road
Mostie you're absolutely right, I don't have time to deal with critisizm, I'm very much into cars myself and I know enough to know that $500 won't get me much but nothing is impossible. I need a car ASAP and I'm not really looking for advice and not trying to be rude, all I was wondering was if anyone on here had a running/driving car in the Battle Creek area that is cheap and has an automatic trans. I'm not asking for a miracle or a hell of a deal, but I need it for work purposes and it is getting colder everyday. I don't have anyone I can borrow from and I don't want to finance at this time. All it really needs to get me to, is when I get my tax refund back and I can get something better. There's gotta be something out there
