Default What City/County is the most scenic in Michigan? (In your opinion)

I'm really curious to know what other people think. For me it may just be hiking some of the beautiful trails in and around Montmorency County. The sinkholes near Onaway provide some really beautiful views.

Gotta be a homer and nominate Emmet County. City of Petoskey, Little Traverse Bay, Tunnel of Trees, Wilderness State Park, Mackinac Bridge.....just for starters.

Emmet County may not be the outright #1, but I can't bring myself to rank it any lower after actually living here. Truly one of the most beautiful regions not only in Michigan, but all of the U.S.

Wow...so many to choose! I guess I will have to say the Ausable river area on the east side of the state. I guess it would cover a few counties. Its one thing to see it from the shore, but Going down the Ausable on a boat is amazing! With the huge pine covered hills, and beautiful water, it has been a favorite of mine since I was a kid. Plus you can stop along the way and play on the sand hills.

I would have to say , hands down , Keweenaw County in the UP.....second , would be Marquette County , not only does it have a great shore line , but its the largest county in Michigan , .so much to see ! On second thought , maybe they are a tie.

Delta. Best Kayaking on the planet. Start at Sac bay and hug the shoreline up and down two gorgeous peninsulas, Garden and Stonington all the way to the mouth of the Ford river.
