U-M is rated as one of the best deals in education. If they are undercharging and still have money to expand, they must be doing something right. Good for them.

I was going to say, I don't know why people here in state seem to think UM is so ungodly expensive. I graduated in 2007 and my in-state tuition was about $9500 a year. They gave me an unbelievable financial aid package as I didn't pay a thing towards tuition outside of a summer semester there. Thats pretty much on par/better than a majority of state schools in Michigan. Not to mention its education standards are far above CMU/WMU. Also, the school itself doesn't make much money off its students, its a lot of private donations, government grants and funding. When I attended school there I believe someone who worked for the school told me maybe 1/4 of their funding was from student tuition.

I wouldn't say they are undercharging (I'm remembering the size of my debt when I got out of there ), but the education they give and the connections they provide are excellent.

Compared to other schools of the same caliber, they are undercharging.

Well, crikey, don't tell them or they'll raise the rates!

Does MSU have the same classification?

I was driving home yesterday and heard, to my astonishment, that they're going to widening a road in the town where I live to make room for the traffic expected on it when they expand an auto plant. Expanding auto plants? What year is this again!?
