Welcome. You sure picked a snowy winter to come . Wait until Spring, Summer and Fall; they more than make up for a bit of snow in the winter. Despite what a few may say about the weather here, I find it very predictable and pleasant most of the year.

I think one of the best parts of Michigan is the variety of weather. I enjoy the change of seasons, including the snow (although December has been a bit much). Take up some winter outdoor hobbies and it will make the winter go by much quicker . Welcome to our great state....it does have a lot to offer in spite of the bad press it frequently gets.

We are outside Traverse City. We are in a rental property until June, and hopefully we'll find something else closer in town.
As far as anything else...Its bad all over. Even where we moved from. I'm originally from a snow area maybe not so much snow as Michigan, but a good amount. So that does not really bother me. (yet..lol) My family and i are trying to think positive about this move, and our kids say that they like it here so far.
