Don't say that. Since much of the snow removal work involves plowing businesses' and stores' lots and industrial parks' drives, if they go under they'll be less snow removal to be done. Also, unemployed and underemployed people are less likely to pay to have their own driveways cleared and I can't imagine that anyone pays to have driveways cleared for foreclosed and abandoned houses.

The banks do!!! I have a friend that plows for banks. The driveways have to be clear for firetrucks.

No the banks do not always. I had a real estate lisc. in Michigan. They would let foreclosed homes sit with nothing done to them unless someone wanted to look at them and then not always did they pay for snow removal. The banks attitude is not to put a nickel more into the property unless there is a negotiated sale pending. The driveway do not have to be clear under law in every place. Maybe in Detroit or some cities have a local ordinance.

It is the bank's insurance that is now getting in the mix.

That might make it awfully difficult to arrange a negotiated sale, if people can't get up to the front door even.

But, a great place for a "slip and fall".
