This is a holiday season. You are seeing shoppers buying things they cannot afford cause they HAVE to. Tis the season.

When January, February rolls around, the stores you see will be closed. It was a tough thing this year and many are folding as we type.
Nobody HAS to buy expensive gifts at any time. If you can put yourself in hock for Christmas, then you obviously have some money to spend. Or you're an idiot. Or more likely both.

Where I live stores and other businesses are closing so they can re-open in bigger spaces in new malls. We even had a new bank open up downtown right before Christmas -- based on listening to the radio that was the last thing I expected to see.

That's great. I'm happy for you and your town.

I am just saying that when you leave Michigan...you tend to look back and say, "Wow, I can't believe I lived there as long as I have. I hear that from alot of people who move out of Michigan. They say the only regret was that they didn't move sooner.

If you are happy there, by all mean, enjoy.

I just don't see alot of people flocking to Michigan. I see them leaving.

I am personally looking to move back to the state if my business venture proves viable. When I lived in Michigan, as a youth, I was only exposed to the inner cities.....never really got to experience the Upper Lower, the Upper, the Lake Shores, sand dunes, white sand, the vistas....

I took the Ferry from Wisconsin to Ludington Michigan a few years back and was simply floored by the coastal beauty.....I thought I was in the Caribbean....simply breath taking.
