I took the Ferry from Wisconsin to Ludington Michigan a few years back and was simply floored by the coastal beauty.....I thought I was in the Caribbean....simply breath taking.
I had no idea either until we got an RV and started camping a few years ago. Mostly I have been exposed to the Eastern side near the tawas area where my parents have a cabin. I always thought the Huron national forest/Ausable river area was incredible, but there is even more incredible places here to see. I also wanted to move out of state to warmer weather, but after catching glimpses of this incredible beauty, most recently the U.P, I never want to leave. In fact, we may have some of the most beautiful beaches, rivers, forests, and all around beauty... in the U.S.
Hope your venture works out, and you can return.
Luckily My business is on Ebay mostly, so i can stay here and have a nice selection of places to live.

It's funny you'd mentioned that. For our first date, between the wife and i, we took a trip up the coast from Silver Lake all the way to St. Ignance. My future wife-to-be kept saying " ..i can't believe this is in Michigan..".

Thanks for the memory, indirectly...

Michigan, as a whole, is underrated, needless to say...

I would be very interested to know how many people are thriving in eBay businesses in this "jobless" state.

I would too actually. I had a product which I invented, that I could not make enough of until aluminum prices doubled in one year. Luckily I had been making molds also, so they sell well around the world. Cant make enough of those either...lol!

Default Ebay

I am not sure about EBay, but I sell on Amazon, and I know my sales this year were down a lot.
I do know that there are many many sellers out there. Go to the post office everyday, and you will see all the sellers. They help keep the post office going.
As for selling, the biggest problem is finding the goods to sell, as there is so much competition out there.
I have heard a lot of EBay sellers complaining about the fees they were charging. Amazon sets the postage, so sellers have to charge more to make up for that. Prices are down on most items that I sell. Three or four years ago the prices were great for sellers, now it is good for the buyers.

Thats why its a definate bonus to have a pretty unique product that is not being sold by 1000 other people especially in these tough times. Next thing is to make sure you take care of the customer, ship quickly, keep a 90 or above rating, and try to get to power seller status as you then save on fees.

My Amazon rating at this point is 100 percent with over 960 ratings. I sell videos and video games. I don't have any other expertize in other fields, so I am limited I admit. It was great for awhile.
