Some parts may be, but not all! I reside in Flint proper and a great many homes in my neighborhood are valued at well over $500k, some encroaching on $1mil.

If these homes were in large cities, they'd be priced most prohibitively.

Sorry to be the one to break it to you, but there are not a great many homes approaching 1 million in flint proper nor are there hardly any in the 500,000 range lol. I have lived on and off in flint for part of my life, but right now live in the bay area. The avg home price where I live is one of the highest in the nation and few houses are even 500 k here anymore b/c of the economy. So it is very laughable that they have homes in flint at this price even b4 the economy hit the tank, but after??? LMAO.

B.G.F.
Assuming this is still current (we were there last in the summer of 2007):

Ruby Tuesday's at the Genesee Valley Mall - nice salad bar and good burgers.

There's also a large chain Mexican restaurant near the mall; I think to the south. Better than I expected to find in the midwest, but not up to CA standards.

Of course, Angelo's, White Castle and Haloburger go without saying.

John's Pizza on Davison Road (and in Davison) used to be great. However, that was the late 60s when I was dating my girlfriend (now wife).

For lunch or dinner, my favorite place is Redwood Lodge. For a nice dinner, the dining room at the Holiday Inn.

There never was much to do in Flint, even in better times when we we in our late teens/early 20s.
