THATS A GOOD IDEA RAISE THE SALES TAX SO EVERYONE IS INCLUDED. OK THEN WE CAN LOWER SOMETHING ELSE. I AM SAYING THERE IS TONS OF ROOM FOR ADJUSTMENT. MY IDEA IS NOT SET IN STONE. I THREW IT OUT THERE SO PEOPLE WILL GIVE ME IDEAS. sorry about the caps i am not angry or anything. i just kept typing and then realized. sorry

We need to tackle the national debt before changing the tax system. Can you imagine trying to get a major tax plan changed now , with the state of our economy ? We all need to pay more taxes now , if for no other reason than to retire some of the debt. We can not keep going like this , and , a war tax is needed also.
The conventional wisdom is ,in a strong vibrant economy , we can pay our way out of debt , with more tax income coming in. How well has that worked the last eight years ? less taxes ,..no way , it does not work , unless you have a total pay as you go system. Are we ready for that ?

i understand the point of doing what he is wanting to do, its no different than what any other person in office has done with creating stimulus packages. i guess at the very least they will employ someon. i dont like tax rebates. if you are going to do something with the economy like stimulus then at least employ someone to make the country a better place.

Have we not been doing just that for the last eight years .......come on now !
Obama is showing signs of some fiscal restraint , Lets see what the plan is , in total before we judge. There will need to be a massive plan ,if there is any hope of turning around the failure of the last Guy and his partners in crime. The efforts may not work , it may be too late , however , a stimulus plan that puts people to work , is agreed by both parties as something we must do , NOW !

The national debt now stands at about $9 Trillion, which is more than the entire world's Gross Domestic Product. It cannot be "tackled." U.S. National Debt Clock FAQ

Well, I guess we could retire the debt if the Government were to drop $9T from cargo planes evenly over the United States - and then immediately demand it back in taxes - NOT! Money as debt

With more debt? See again: Money as debt

Ron Paul and many others want to abolish the Federal Reserve System, and its collection agency, the IRS. Should we do that? Or should we stay in denial till the two systems collapse under their own fraud weight?

Maybe its time the Natives take it all back. If you want to speculate - go to their casinos. If you want sound money - go to their bank. http://www.freelakotabank.com/aboutfreelakotabank.php (broken link)

Once done, the Government can then set up a Gross Transactions Tax System with Corporations.

And THEN, if you want to invest - use real money - I'm sure everyone's judgement will improve when they start using real money.
