I hunt a lot and know a lot of other folks who do. What's interesting, no one I know has ever seen the pigs during their time in the woods. I know from reading the news there are a few shot during the fall but not that many. I don't much about the pigs but they must be good at hiding out; with all of the hunters in the woods you'd think there'd be a lot more sightings. They are good eating and there's a lot of meat on the hoof so I'd be glad to see one. Midland has a lot because a private farm was vandalized and the captive pigs were released into the wild. Others have escaped from some of the private hunting establishments around Michigan.

I have never seen one myself. One was shot on Wendt rd, in Mills township last fall.

seen one and I shot one. The old 30-06 did a nice little number on it too.

Feral hogs in Washtenaw county? Now you know why they call it Hogback Road! And here everyone thought it was because the sheriff's dept. is there! LOL

Well I think feral pig can be good eating, depending on the pig. Older boars would probably not be. Young boars maybe and females probably best.
But the point is that they are extremely damaging to agriculture and other wildlife and need to be eradicated - they are not native.
