I'm curious as to which are the least expensive townships and school districts in the Eaton, Ingham, and Calhoun County areas to own a home?

But, I don't know the tax rates at all. My 10.45 acre property in Eaton Co / Hamlin Township is about $700-800 for the year (it was only $300/yr before the pole building and lots next to it were built upon.. I also believe it was overassessed, but I can't be certain unless I take the timeto investigate); it is mostly unimproved, only has a pole building and driveway. I think Ingham Co most southern townships tend to be less expensive than anything near Lansing. I don't know much about Calhoun Co at all. We originally looked at property in Duck Lake. The taxes for a 1050 sq ft mobile home w/ foundation on 10 acres were fairly cheap - cheaper than my fathers 2500 sq ft stick built on 1 acre in Ingham Co / Vevay Township. Wish I could be of more assistance!
