How much will a septic and a well run in Livingston county?
I am looking at a foreclosed home that may need a well and septic (a few homes in the sub have had to do it this year).
Well of a neighbors is 120 feet (just to help you gauge it, not sure on this home).
This is in the Hartland Township area.
I have no ideas of even ballpark......anyone have info on this?
Thanks!

If I were to drill your well in the spring it would be $1800. If it takes a screen ad $600. That is just the well. The hook-up would depend on pump size. A BASIC hook-up is $1900. Remember you will have to abandon the old well.
Talk to you local health department.
Can you give me the name of the road and cross roads???

So, somewhere around 5000 would be an average cost?
No, this is for springtime.
Anyone have a reliable estimate for septic (i heard 6-8k before).

Sue, when you get closer to your project, let us know. We will discuss hook-ups. It would be fun to do it in the open forum. BEFORE you hire a driller!!!

One note. About the thaw. They bring Michigan road restrictions. We can not move the big equipment. Only on class A roads, so most jobs have to wait. They go on in late-March and go off in late April, early May.

We are having problems with our septic tank. We called a company called Eagleton and they told me about $4500 for a new field. If it's a foreclosure I'd assume there is a tank already and you need a bew tile field. Call these guys. His name is Jason and seemed like a real honest good guy.

For septics, yes. Wells, it is REAL easy to compare apples to oranges.

I will.
A few people have had septics/wells in the last few years in my area, I'll have to ask around.
BTW, if the septic is in the backyard, and they need to do a new field, does it totally screw up the yard and lawn?
Anyone done it?
Sue
