Things do seem ot be getting a little bit better. The big three are still downsizing but we know that was comoing. What is better is that there is now some signs of growth in other business where there used to be none. Thus, although unemployement will probably continue to increase, we are seeing some relief whcih is an improvement over no reilef. Optimistic peoiple can now see the salvation of our economy at some time in the future. Pessimists will continue to see only dispair.

Wow....I remember when 7% was bad. It WILL get better, though when that is, is anyone's guess.

There's a guy in town who does auto work, and he has more customers than he can hardly handle- I think in certain jobs, things are still good- but it's for the things that are truly needed-and you have to have your vehicle, unless you have a snowmobile- especially in THIS snow, lol~

Nouriel Roubini -- a very good source of economic predictions, whose students call him "Dr. Doom" because he's been warning everyone for years of the impending real-estate-market collapse -- expects the recession to last well into 2010, but frankly that's better than I was hoping for.

I can't find anyone to work. That's right, I am still looking. It is hard work but, I can do it. Oh, guys WANT to. The main problem, the drug test. There you have it. BTW, it pays $18.00 an hour.

Driller 1, what kind of work is it? The Midland area is starting to feel the effects of the recession already hammering the rest of the state so I'd think there would be some qualified folks in the market.
