Default MI Wildlife Question

Does anyone know offhand if Bluebirds migrate? They are hanging out outside my office window, along with some obviously misguided Robins. Is it not a really bad time of year for these worm-and bug-eaters to be Michigandering, or are they here year-round and I'm just clueless?

I believe both Robins and Eastern Bluebirds are considered partial migrants. MOST typically move away from nesting grounds in fall/winter - not because of cold so much but because it gets harder to find food. Its not unusual to see some Robins in the north toughing it out, wandering quite a bit in search of food. I guess the same for Bluebirds.

Yeah, I've often seen Robins in January, although what they could be thinking I can't imagine, but I've actually never seen a Bluebird in this county before having lived here 15 years.
