It shouldnt depend on what we tell you as to why you move. You are going to have alot of mixed emotions and responses on that question. And if you watch the news, or read the other threads that would definitly sum up the job market and housing. Not enough jobs and too many houses for sale.
My honest opinion, like alot of people know, my family and i up and moved our kids to here. Regardless of the economy, we have found a place to call "home" now it is up to us to make it work here. That is how its going to be anywhere you decide to go. I love Michigan. I can not say enough about it. My kids 12.8.5 love Michigan, My husband loves Michigan. And thats coming from a family who moved with a job ready when we left and arrived here, and it fell through due to layoffs. Thats coming from a family where the "green stuff" is running slim. I can not say enough nice things about Michigan. Like i said, your going to get alot of mixed reactions. I wish you the best in your adventure.

Jobs terrible.....housing great! By that I mean unless you are in the medical field, it will be very tough. Even then..still tough. There are PLENTY of great buys on houses. If you can possibly move here, love cold snowy winters, beautiful spring, summer and falls.... you will love it! Michigan has some of the most incredible scenery in the U.S.

The deals on the houses are unbelievable. But why would you move here unless you already had a job? The unemployment rate is the highest in the 50 states.

Don't do it. There is not a day that goes by that I don't think at least a hundred times how I wish I was out of this hellhole.
