Question Detroit area -- best areas? neighborhoods?

Hello all

I'm looking to purchase distressed properties in and around the Detroit area.

What are the best residential areas in the city of Detroit?
What are the best residential areas in the suburbs of Detroit?

Thanks everyone!

I would say Indian Village and Palmer Woods. After that probably Rosedale Park. Boston-Edison is nice but surrounded by the ghetto.
