Question Veterinary field outlook in MI

I've posted previously about moving to MI in late July. Part of the reason is my goal of getting into MSU's veterinary school. When I come out of school, will there be a need in MI for my skills? Is there a glut of vets since it is the home of a veterinary schoool? I was considering a research position but if that doesn't work I'm also thinking of a mobile clinic.

I realize I may get denied when I apply and in that event will probably continue in the field as a registered technician. Does anyone know the state of the veterinary field out there? Here in northern San Diego it seems like there is a lot of turn-around as far as support staff goes and once you get a good team going someone leaves for whatever reason and the rest falls apart.

Mid MI can always use GOOD horse vets. I'm sure other areas of the state could as well.

After looking very closely at MSU, my DDIL decided Baker College in Cadillac was a better fit for her. She did very well there and had a job working at the clinic of one her professor's in Traverse City while still in college.
