Apparently the kid is bi-polar. He needs to be under supervised care and kept medicated (in my opinion).

That video was horrible. That kid needs a severe beating, regardless of his "condition".

awhhh , it was his upbringing. He wasn't coddled enough as a child. He should be talked to calmly about his issues. Maybe some hugging .. and some more soothing communication...
I DON'T THING SO !!
Any person that can disrespect and become that violent to another person for no reason will only do greater harm in the future. He should have been kicked right out the moving bus and hopefully traffic would have taken care of him. It's too bad the bus driver didn't have a Tazer or better yet a .45.... her life and the others on the bus where in danger.

very interesting to read the reactions.
Let's assume, the driver did something to threaten the safety of the students. Would that have justified the actions of the juvenile?
Let's assume, the driver was doing her job and did nothing to warrant the attack. How then should we interpret the actions of the juvenile?
In both cases, it would seem that the actions of the kid were at a minimum, beyond anything reasonable and justified. If she were a danger to the kids, one would expect that the kid would have tried to forcibly remove the driver, not whale on the driver. At the worst, he can be counted among the millions of youth who can feel disrespected by anyone who offends them (including the sight of them).
In either case, I shake my head and wonder how so many can defend the kid. Almost assuredly, he will turn up again for assault, rape, or murder in a few years time.

one idiot responder there seems convinced that the driver intentionally slammed on the brakes, and is intent on finding fault solely with the victim.
unbelievable.
additionally, it turns out the driver's husband even knew the kid.

Magellan: Don't rely on that diagnosis of Bipolar Disorder. It's wildly over-diagnosed.

You would really want to see a bus driver fire a gun in a bus full of people? Could I direct you to the nearest police station for a badly-needed gun safety course?
