Did you hear? Poor Kwame, who is making $10,000 a month, is asking court for new scedule to pay back the $1,000,000 he owes Detroit in restitution. He says after he pays his expenses, he only has $6.00 left. His mama may have called him King Kwame, but the king needs to live like the rest of us paupers who don't shirk their responsibilities. And I think the judge needs to his behind back to Michigan and park it it jail so he can attend court ordered budgeting classes.

From the Detroit News:
Home lease $2,700 (I'm sure he could find a place in the $1500 bracket)
Car lease $900 (that's more than most people pay to BUY a car!)
Utilities $900 (who does he think he's kidding?)
Health insurance $305 (that sounds about right)
Life insurance $180 (sounds OK)
Car insurance $400
Dentist $200 (EVERY month?)
Telephone $420 (where is he calling? there are many plans with unlimited calls for a lot less!)
Groceries $600 (he's paying more for his car than to feed his children???? indicates where he puts HIS priorities)
Gasoline $100 (??????)
Miscellaneous - clothing, school costs, personal care, cable TV, internet $600 (something's fishy here)
Probation administration $60
Credit card debt $400
Student loan $229
Income taxes $2000

King Kwame needs to realize that he AIN'T NO KING and live like normal people and perhaps put his wife to work!

Well, when you're brought up being told by your mama every single day of your life that you are "The Chosen One" right up there next to Jesus, then it's probably hard to come down to the level of the common folks and have some understanding or care about how the rest of the world survives.

Apparently, his wife is also too high up the social ladder to actually, you know, get a job. Has she ever held a job? I know she loves to shop and get her hair done, but never heard what else she does with her day. Maybe she spends a lot of time at the dentist, based on that budget he submitted. Or talking on the phone.

That budget is something else. What kind of options do you get on a $450/month pohe plan? Doesn't somebody offer something like a $50/month unlimted everything plan?

Kwame needs a budget. Treat him like the rest of us would be treated. Garnish his wages and force him to live off of the rest.

I'm not sure I'd be telling her to get a job but, obviously, he needs a night job. Perhaps as a janitor. He has some cleaning up of his own messes to do.
