I like Niles. It seems like a great town. However, it's just not home. I don't know anyone in the area, and I really miss where I cam from.

Heidiuww is on a distinguished road
I just moved to Niles about two months ago, and I have to say it was definitely a culture shock compared to where I came from (Delafield, WI). At first I was pretty much in shock that it seemed everywhere in Michigan was so depressed! And, I never saw ANYONE exercising--jogging, cycling, you name it. However, I have found a few people who cycle and I must say, Niles is BEAUTIFUL! Last saturday i did a nice 80 miler north past Twin Lakes, and have never in my life biked down so many gorgeous, tree covered roads. Since i am form WI, I am very used to crappy winters. I love snow, i just hate when it's cold and there's no snow. It seems to be different weather here even though it's fairly close. People are generally pretty nice, i live close to barron lake, and it seems like it is a decent community around there. Only issue is still the jogging. I never ever see anyone else! The other day i was running, my dog tripped me, and i bit the ground HARD. Two people saw me do it and didn't even ask or step on their brakes. Nice.
