"President Barack Obama even voiced hope Friday that it may turn out to be no more harmful than the average seasonal flu." Imagine that!

the way they keep over-hyping this sort of thing, if a real killer flu ever shows up - no one's gonna believe it.

Customer service
I know what you mean. When I was working customer service, my favorite was when some huge, overweight sweaty woman would pull her cash out of her bra and pay me with it. I always kept a can of Lysol behond the counter. My co-workers and I were always spraying it.

Want to get rid of the flu -- increase global warming. The flu appears to burn itself out during the summer.

Or one that's not even close to as bad as the average flu season, which this is turning out to be.
I just read today that the CDC (Centers for Disease Control) is requiring all schools with a confirmed swine flu case to shut down for two weeks!!! WTF are people supposed to do if their kids' school closes down for two weeks?!! This is getting beyond friggin ridiculous. Please write your congresspeople to reign in these fearmongers like CDC.

I guess they are assuming with how many people are laid off, at least one parent in each house HAS to be home anyway.

My daughter was just telling me about more cases in the Grand Rapids area and schools closing. I guess the schools are just trying to keep the kids healthy. The issue is it doesn't help anything if they still have dance and t-ball and scoccer. The idea is to keep the kids at home away from each other and is that really realistic.
