Advertisements

I have been seeing these ads on tv (Direct TV) frequently in the last few months.

View Our Ads - Pure Michigan Travel

First time I saw them and didn't know it was Michigan right away, I wondered where those really nice places were. Makes me a bit warm and fuzzy inside seeing these ads.

Is anyone else seeing these on TV?

I think about how many people have left, and how we thought about it. The winter grind had grown old, my job was gone. But there has always been something about Michigan that has kept me here. Those ad's are truly awesome. I watched every video on it. Makes me so glad I'm still here, and also makes me want to get my family out to explore this great state of ours. There is still so much to see and experience.

Those Pure Michigan ads are very nicely done. Who ever came up with that idea and filmed all of those places should be honored for their work.

The thing that I like about that ad campaign specifically is that every ad is about a different thing, such as:

"The Pure waters of Michigan"
or
"The bustling cities of Michigan"
or
"The Pure golfcourses of Michigan"
etc
etc
etc

If it had a bunch of jumbled information in one commercial I don't think I would like them as much.

The state spent a lot of money on them to be aired in most of the other U.S. states for tourism.

We moved to Iowa 2 mos ago from Michigan and we see these ads constantly. No one here really understands how beautiful it is there. These ads make me so homesick! I think it's one of the best things they have ever done. Michigan's natural beauty is the state's best asset. Keeping it beautiful and marketing tourism will be great for the state's economy.

Some of them are the voice of of Tim Allen. Nice touch. I think he mostly lives in California now but he also has a large property in Leelanau county, if I remember correctly.

We see a lot of the ads here in Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, PA as well, and it only strengthens my resolve to want to vacation in Michigan someday!
