the employer mindset
i don't know if its just me, but the last several jobs i've had have been like this: do more than one job (2-3 people's jobs) and get paid as little as possible. is anyone else nickel and dimed at their job? its never mattered how hard i worked or how good of a job i did, it seemed to only drive them to give me more work and not pay me for it.
i'm a massage therapist and thankfully i have a great employer who pays me well (in genessee county). but all the chiropractor's or spas in oakland county have the nerve to pay half of what i make or less. then they expect you to meet all these requirements that look good on paper, but don't necessarily make a good massage. oakland county is GREEDY to me. is that what its come to? employers thinking that people should feel lucky they have a job at all and paying them sh*t, while piling on tons of work that ten years ago would have been divided into 2 or 3 jobs? it seems like there are very few good people anymore, that money matters more than people.
i mean how many suv's does a person need? and all those mini mansions people call houses....? does that really make people happy?

I dunno - gimme a few SUVs and one of those fancy houses and I'll tell you if I'm happier than my rickety old house and beat up cars.
Not everyone in Oakland County is greedy. Some of us are downright stinking generous to a fault. Let me win the Mega Millions today and I'll show ya! (ROFL!)

What an employer does with their money is their business. Open your own and get rich.

its beat down, people work more than they see their families.....we're so used to it we think its normal.
i understand why unions exist....but then those started to get corrupt too. its a fast food society that values money above anything else, and we wonder why we're falling apart.

So am I. I don't take every job that comes my way. You do not have to either.
