Default Might be Moving to Warren, MI Looking for advice

I may be stationed in Warren MI. I am looking for advice about the surrounding area and where a good place to purchase a house is.

My Wife will also be looking for a job once we get there, she is a Bi-Lingual (Spanish and English) Teacher.

I will be an Army Acquisitions Officer. My Housing Allowance will be 2100 a month, and I can go up to 2500 a month. If My wife is able to get a job there I can go higher than that. So Looking for houses in the range of 150000 to 350000.

I am looking for the best areas to live, with a low crime rate and good to great schools.

Someone in the area could you please advise me where the best area to purchase a home would be. Appreciate your time.

Look at the City of Sterling Heights, it not the richest or most lavish city in the metro area, but I think that is a nice, clean, and a solid city. It's north of Warren, and has much better schools than Warren itself. If you want to go even further north, look at Shelby Twp and Utica. Utica and Shelby Twp have very good schools but then your commute is getting longer.

Good luck on your search!
