Deputies arrived to find a wrecker was already at the scene, but the driver was nowhere to be found. Authorities had the vehicle towed from the scene.
A follow-up investigation resulted in three citations - careless driving, failure to report a property damage accident and failure to change address - for Todd G. Tarbell, 44, of Dafter as deputies closed the books on this matter.
There were no injuries associated with the crash and damage was categorized as minor.
RACO
Missing sled
Chippewa County Sheriff deputies were investigating the disappearance of a snowmobile undergoing repairs.
According to reports, the sled was operable when it disappeared with the repairman identifying his cousin as the possible culprit. Deputies were unable to locate the operator during their initial investigation and the sled was returned undamaged the following morning.

SAULT STE. MARIE
Disorderly person
Sault Police were summoned to the 300 block of Johnston early Tuesday morning after a New Year's reveler was reported to be face down at that location. Police rousted the man and were apparently planning to send him on his way, but the man was unsteady on his feet and unable to tell officers where he lived.
Calvin W. Odbert, 22, of the Sault was arrested for disorderly as police did not believe he would be able to care for himself if left on his own. He was booked into the Chippewa County Jail.
Recreational trespass
Chippewa County Sheriff deputies were called to an E. Five Mile Road property on Saturday to investigate reports of recreational trespass involving snowmobiles operating on the constructed bumps and jumps of a backwoods dirt bike track.
Deputies followed the tracks to a nearby residence where warnings were issued.
No additional law enforcement action was required.
Wallet found
City police have taken possession of a wallet containing $28 and various forms of identification after it was found outside an I-75 Business Spur discount store. Police attempted to deliver the wallet to the owner, but the man was not home during their visit.
Contact information was left at the man's residence providing instruction for claiming the wayward wallet.
