i graduated from western...if she is going to be a freshmen, then she definitely should live in the dorms for at least her first year! the experience alone is VERY worth it! she will get an idea herself about where she wants to live when she moves off campus. she'll make friends and possibly live with some of them after her dorm year or years
good luck to her! i LOVED Western

Ditto. I'm also a (June 2009) Western grad and I have to echo the same thing. She should live in the dorms the first year, and then move off campus. It's so easy to make friends in the dorms, and some of my best college memories happened there.

After my freshman year, I lived all over the Kalamazoo area, and then ended up in Three Rivers for my last year in school. I like the (far) west side of the city, Oshtemo, and Mattawan. Three Rivers is awesome, but is a long drive from Western.

Go Broncos!
