Did anyone in Michigan know the 88 year old White Supremacist who shot the security guard at the Holocaust Museum in Washington? According to the news he was from Van Buren Township.

My only guess for that man was he had a mental illness because I too can't truely imagine someone having the desire to do such a horrible thing.

Guys like that NEVER see themselves as the problem. A friend of mine once said that when you're mentally ill, you believe you're the only sane person in a crazy world. I don't know if that applies to this guy -- a$$hole is not a mental disorder after all -- but it would sure fit. I mean, reaching for a gun is the act of someone who's at the end of his tether and totally out of ideas. I like to think nobody who is thinking straight would pull a stunt like this, but I also know it's not that simple.
