Crystal Falls lodging
My parents would like to spend a week in the Crystal Falls area in July. Can anyone please recommend a nice motel/ hotel? Thanks!

Wish I could help you lovemaine, but it has been a long time since I was up to that area. I do remember that the Skowhegan/Norridgewock area kind of reminded me of the area around Crystal Falls. Hope they have a Great time. Don't forget to have them try the Pasties.

Thanks, Bydand! Fancy meeting you here! The UP does remind me a lot of Maine. I will tell my parents to try the Pasties...

I used to live in CF. Not a lot to choose from as far as hotels/motels. There is a very nice B & B between CF and Amasa just north of CF. Google 'The Listening Inn'. Large log lodge-type place. Has the real "up north" feeling. If that won't do there is a an American Inn in Iron River a few miles west. Also a very nice state park just west of CF. Hope that helps.

About 10 years ago I would have recommended my Aunt and Uncles place... The Amasa bar and hotel. They had to sell though.
