That's cool weather, I wish we had it here.

It's been in the triple digits for the last week in OK.

I suppose the problem I have with that mosquito repellent research is that it only seems to address the problem of mosquitoes biting you on the arm/legs/neck. That's all well and good, but my problem is the mosquitoes and black flies like to land on my hair and bite the top of my head. You wonder why some guys go bald, it's because mosquitoes like to bite the crown area of your head and you end up scratching like crazy and probably scratch all the hair right out I doubt I'm suppose to use OFF! repellent like it's hair spray. Guess I need to go get a new baseball cap.

They love my hair too - I have to wear a cap when I go for a walk or I get total whiplash from trying to shake all the bugs off my head!

Mix repellent with your hair conditioner

89 degrees is a walk in the park these days but ohhhh the humidity; I don't look forward to that. 98 degrees and 30% humidity here in N Texas is perfect bike riding weather for me!
y'all drive safe this weekend!
I'm in west Texas, also heading to Michigan in a few days - but it sounds like the weather up there is about the same as here -- maybe more muggy.

Where I live, we don't really need air conditioners so usually I'm traveling in a vehicle that doesn't have one (or it's broken and I didn't need it so didn't have it fixed), Oklahoma is to me almost unbearable, Missouri is fine but then it's unbearable all the way to north of Grand Rapids. Maybe Newago is when it starts getting tolerable again.

Depends what day you hit in Missouri. I will never forget my first trip down there. Went to Fruitland (near Jackson) to do some family research. Got there around noon, sunny day, sun directly overhead. It was 95 degrees with 90% humidity. About ten seconds after getting out of my car I was drenched in sweat. I lived in central Illinois at the time and was used to 90 degree days, but never had I felt the sun so hot before or since.

Where in MI are you coming up to? We got some rain here in Marquette today...first good rainfall in over two weeks and now temps are suppose to drop the next few days back down to around 60 degrees for a high before coming back up to around 70. Personally, that's more like it! That, and I really needed some rain for my yard. Trying to regrow a lot of grass and my water bill is going to be huge next month from the lack of rain

Default At least it isn't humid here!

Today it's supposed to be about 100, and 105 for tomorrow. Looks like the heat of summer in soCal is upon us, and will be until mid-October.

I'm heading to Detroit/Flint next Friday, so I'm hoping that the cool weather brought on by the rains continues for a week.

It's 88 degrees already at 11 AM, but only 24% humidity.

My "secret" remedy for black flies and mosquitoes is not showering for 2 days and then they completely leave you alone But its not something I enjoy doing.
