Default Moving to Traverse City,MI in September

Hi, my husband is in the Coast Guard and we are being stationed in Traverse City,MI in September from Northern California. We are looking to rent a house with with two or three bedrooms(preferably 3). But i am having a hard time finding anything online. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to look? and also how bad is the winter really? Any info would greatly help.

Samantha

Great assignment! Traverse City is a wonderful little city right on the water. I'm sure you'll like it in the fall, spring and summer. Winters can be harsh, but they're not as cold as the great plains... just snowier. Buy some cross-country skis or a snow-mobile and you'll end up liking winter as much as summer!

Winter usually gets going by Thanksgiving. It snows alot but the cold is modified greatly by Lake Michigan. Also, getting around is not an issue as we do not have a great volume of vehicular traffic during the winter.

I was going to suggest the record eagle as well. There is also a site called rent.com I'm not sure if they show homes but I know they have condo's and apartments. Best of luck on your move I'm very jealous. I love TC
