Default moving to bay city.... help please

my employer is moving me to bay city. ive looked everywhere and cant seem to find any apartments or condo rentals in or near the downtown area... on the east or west side of the river. the city website mentions them, but i cant seem to find them. ive found a few names of places, but cant seem to find anything more about them. can someone from the area give me a few names of apartments or condos that i can rent in these areas?... maybe some of the nicer ones available. im a single male and am moving from california. i realize that im not moving to vegas or anything, but i would like to be as close to some excitement as possible.

thanks

There's some real nice condos on the river...if you're looking to spend money. Forget they name of them offhand but they have a website. Should be pretty easy to find doing a quick Google search.

The Boathouse - Luxury Condominiums in Bay City, Michigan

I don't think you can rent these but I suppose you can always call and talk to them.

Not much excitement in Bay city, though I'm sure you will find it more pleasant than Saginaw or Flint.

If you don't mind commuting an hour to work, you can try staying in Mt. Pleasent. There in Mt. Pleasent, known as the Las Vegas in Michigan ( casinos) and Central Michigan University, so I wouldn't be surprise if you can find excitement around there. If a hour commute is too long, you can also look into Mid-Land, Michigan... though my understanding it's more family orientated.
