I moved to Tennessee in March. Don't get me wrong, it's great! But those Pure Michigan ads sure do make me homesick! I ♥ Michigan!

Yep...its amazingly beautiful. I posted some pics in the photography forums of some of our Lake Michigan beaches, and someone who lives in Florida said they could not believe it was Michigan and not the Florida Keys. Thats how it is...most people have no idea Michigan has such amazing beaches and incredibly beautiful waters. The water is a bit chilly on the bigger lakes, but kids dont mind, and for the grownups you can just relax on the beach and when you get hot it only takes just walking in the water to cool right down. Plus, there are no sharks...jellyfish...oil or salt!

The Pure Michigan adds are having quite an impact on people. Just go to Facebook and join the "Pure Michigan" group, and read what people say. Plus, the way this is growing is amazing! I have seen over 1000 people a day join recently...awesome!!

I think it's great that they air them here in Michigan too... I've told people countless times how great we have it here in terms of recreation and they don't all believe me. When Tim Allen tells them, for some reason, it carries more weight.
Yep.....the only Michigan I knew of were the inner-cities of Grand Rapids, Detroit and other towns where we have family in Michigan, despite me growing up in Michigan. My residence is now in the state of Minnesota. On one trip back to Michigan we decided to take the S.S Badger ferry from Wisconsin to Ludington Michigan....WOW. I could not believe me eyes when we got near the shore in Michigan. I thought I was in the Caribbean (probably because I have never been to the Caribbean to know what it really looks like)! I was truly stunned that it was Michigan. Every since then I have been trying to find the time to vacation in the the NW LP. I have not found the time yet....

I know they have winter ads. Don't know when they run them though. Click on the link and then scroll down the page a bit.
