Which in turn will deter people from eating there because it costs too much.......either way most of the small businesses will be folding up shop if this happens.
Don't worry - the same democrats are promising amnesty and open borders and so the business owners will have plenty of illegals willing to work for below minimum wage.

PErsonally I think w are becomming Breat Britian. Once the worlds foremost manufacturer of goods, now manufacturing almost nothing and living off of dwindling accumulated wealth and investments and by providing services to other less sophisticated countries. Once the worlds foremost military and economic superpower, now waving their arms around trying to seem important and almost being ignored. It looks like we are headed the same way for the same reason. The US may never dwindle as much as Englnad has simply because the US is much larger, but the general similarities appear to be abundantly clear.

Even now England has some influence, but it is unclear why, they are not a major economic or military power. Their current cultural influence is virtually nothing although their past cultural influence is still impacting the world.

I suspect that we will be in the same position in another 30-50 years. China will be the major superpower and Russia might be right behind them. We may remain in thrid to fifth place if we do not completely trash our economy and become a third rate country. Who knows, maybe we will ahve a miracle and turn things around, but it does not seem likely given the direction that we are going right now.
