Don't confuse Queen Annes Lace with Water Hemlock!!! water hemlock is VERY poinsonous!!
When I worked at wilderness state park I would help identify edible plants and berries on hikes.....wild sweet onions are great... wild mint is plentiful

I am surprised I don't think i've seen anyone mention cranberries!!! there is a big cranberry farm in cheboygan then one you can visit and have tours of near paradise in the UP....

I thought that cranberries grow in swamps. Am I confusing it with something else?

As far as Michigan grown apples , they had a piece on them on the TV news here in the Detroit area this morning . Because of the cooler/wetter summer so far , apples will be about 2 weeks later than normal with a bumper crop I know that didn't answer your question .

FYI, went to Blueberry Lane yesterday and the picking was G-O-O-D! The price is actually down right now; they were $1.80/lb (last year $1.99/lb). I got almost 30 lbs!!
