Are these towns? counties? If they are, I am sure people live in them. Unless they are ghost towns. Although I am not sure about etc.

Not at all, there are literally thousands in Ingham and Eaton Co. Not sure about Clinton, though, pretty rural up that way.

I grew up in Mason and lived everywhere from Mason to Lansing to Haslett to Eaton Rapids.
