Default Petosky State park info please

We are thinking of going here on our last trip of the year end of August. Can anyone tell me what this park is like? Is it nice, are there trails nearby, are the sites close together?
Thanks

ImaMichigander will become famous soon enoughImaMichigander will become famous soon enough
The last time we tried to go was in Aug of 96 and they wouldn't let you reserve just a couple of nights. So we tried to do a walk in and there were none available. We went to the Petosky KOA, as they did have availability and we liked that a lot. But from your post, that might not be what you are looking for... It was really nice, but pretty commercial vs. the natural beauty of the State Parks. But lots of nice ammenities!
