I am thinking of possibly retiring in the U.P.. I was interested in feedback about the toughest transitions and the benefits. I am thnking wester U.P., possibly the Houghton area. I currently live in the Northern Lower Penionsula. Thanks.

Well it all depends on you. I have seen many people come here and leave because it didn't have all the things that they left behind. I would suggest a visit to check it out. If you like the area, I have a house I would sell you.
