Anyone here lives in Pontiac or Auburn Hills ?
Hi There,
I never been to Michigan. I have no choice in the end and have to move to be close to Auburn Hills...Does anyone know the area of E Montcalm St & Joslyn Ave (close to Perry St) ?
How's the safety?
Thanks so much!

Stay away from Pontiac. The crime rate is very high.

No, No, NO!
Stay out of that area! Move to Waterford. It's very nice, pretty cheap and close enough to Auburn Hills, yet not close enough to where you'll pay the high rent as in Auburn Hills.
I lived in Pontiac and Waterford for several years.

Clarkston, White Lake, but then you are talking more of a drive.
I still say Waterford, if you can't afford Auburn Hills.

Thanks, Rageman! What are the streets are desirable to be close to Oakland University in either Auburn Hills or RH area? Do you know any websites that Michigan people use to post their rental? Much appreciated...

The area surrounding OU is mostly pretty nice - they have a Trader Joe's and a Whole Foods and some real pretty neighborhoods around there! I used to use "Apartments.com" to find a place to live but it's been a while so I don't know if it's still a good website.
