Our favorite thigs are way too many, Fruit Market's for one, down here in Derby,ks. there isn't one, not even in Wichita, and when you ask somebody about a fruit market they look at you kind of funny like "we have superwalmart, they have fruit"
. Coney Islands, no one here know what the heck they are .We miss going to Bray's burgers and tons of other coney places up north. The lakes of course, the big malls, any kind of restaurnat, Gonellas in Dearborn, Green trees, parks, we loved living in Canton, IKEA, just way too many things, it kind of sounds like we need to move back, if my job was still there I would move up in a minute, but I was told that it was going to India. ![]() Some day we will be living in Michigan again ![]() My cousin came down t visit with us and brought us 4-24 cases of Vernors ![]() I am having one of those, I miss Michigan days today ![]() |

I'll second the missing of Vernors. As well as Squirt up here in Maine. Never heard of them up here. I'll OD on Vernors when we get back this Summer for good.

Mason County. About halfway between Ludington and Scottville on one of the back roads. Close enough to the lake to enjoy it without paying the premium of being able to see it from the property. God's country = West Michigan.

The nightlife in Royal Oak, downtown Detroit, Mt. Clemens and Kalamazoo 10. the downtown area of Farmington 11. Miles of farmland on back country roads 12. The Red Wings 13. The Tigers 14. The Pistons 15. Greektown 16. Joe Louis Arena 17. Walloon Lake and all of the Northwest Lower Peninsula 18. St. Pats Pub Crawl and Boat Night in Port Huron 19. The Detroit and Mt. I love it here too! I was raised in Florida, and one of my favorite things about Michigan is the 4 seasons.........I love planting flowers in the spring, but when I start to get tired of this summer is here, all I have to do is water, when summer comes along, we hang by the pool, but when I get tired of this, fall comes along............how wonderful fall is..the changing leaves, the colors, the driving trails you can go on, but when I just get tired of cleaning up the falling leaves, winter comes along............and the wonderful snow falls, and the winter holidays really feel like "winter holidays" and just when you get tired of the cold and snow it all starts over again!
There are activies in Michigan that fit every season. If you get bored it is your own fault! yes, I love it here! |

I'm a nature lover, so I love the woods, the rivers, and the lakes. We have Great Lakes shoreline everywhere, and I love the U.P. the most. I would nominate the Lake Superior shoreline as my favorite place, even if it's 500 miles long! I do prefer the far western end of the U.P., with their rivers that cut those beautiful canyons in the reddish black rock, before emptying in to the Gitch. A not so close second would be the shores of lake Michigan anywhere from Manistee to Manistique. You just can't go arong in any of those areas from a natural beauty standpoint.
