Time to cut spending.

They'll probably instead raise taxes on the working people and chase them out of the state.

Michigan is why I'd love to move to Alaska! To be with my grandkids.

Government shutdown might not be a bad thing. Save money!

There are a lot of states with massive budget deficits right now. I just read that Alabama, which has been lauded for luring a ton of jobs over the last 5 years (military and automotive jobs), has a deficit much larger than Michigan's (as a percentage of revenue), and Rhode Island is set to shut down for 12 days.

This is what happens when states encourage hyper development and massive infrastructure expansions (highways, schools, etc.), and then don't know how to pay to maintain it all when times get tough.
