Default Lets talk about Saugatuck

I havent been there since 2007, if I am feeling better, wouldnt mind another trip one day...

But I always liked this little community, I know a lot of it is for tourists, but it has a special appeal to me, just the way the town looks and the cute little shops. One store, I loved and wish I could remember name of, is they had all these 50s things, from magnets, to decor, and antiques it was pretty cool. The art galleries too are wonderful. When I lived in Kalamazoo years ago, would go over to Saugatuck. Hope I am spelling it right hehehehe...

We love Saugatuck, but much prefer it in the off-season. It can be difficult to find parking down there in the summer during the height of tourist season. Uncommon Grounds is our favorite coffee shop, it's located on Hoffman St. There are so many great shops to see, too! We love just browsing the art and unique selection in each store. I don't really ever pay attention to the names of the stores, but there are a couple I have some favorite items in! I think one is Santa Fe Trading Company on Butler St. and another is Copper Garden Studio on Culver St.

Our favorite restaurant is Chequers, it's on Culver St. They have the best fish & chips and their shepherd's pie is also really good! Billie's is a great place and of course, and there's always Marro's on Water St. for pizza, too.

You're most welcome! I think we might actually head down there sometime soon for dinner and coffee.
