Default Good place to stay near Sterling Heights

Anyone have a recommendation for a decent hotel to stay in for a week in the vicinity of Sterling Heights? I don't want to pay the $80 or more listed for a lot of hotels in the vicinity. I did stay at an extended stay place last year on Van Dyke that was cheap but the place kind of gave me the creeps and the window of my ground floor room did not close well enough to fully latch it. I'm looking for an inexpensive place that isn't a hooker kind of place and hopefully has a microwave and mini fridge.
