Default Unemployment question

I know there is a number to TRY and call, but if you've been laid off in Michigan you know how that works. Anyway I'm wondering if anyone knows how this works. I was laid off for 10 months, was called back 3 weeks ago. There is already a slow down and the rumors about another lay off have started already. Estimated time is around December ( again). So if I get laid off again, how does this work? I already collected for the term and part of the extension. So would I only have the time remaining from my last lay off? This whole thing has me freaking out a bit.

From what I remember it's based off of a "benefit year" that starts when you first submit your claim. Until you work for a certain amount of time (probably a year), that "benefit year" isn't reset, it's just used up as you call in... so although you've worked for a few weeks, it's not like your benefits are going to get reset and you'll be able to start all over from the beginning. You'll likely just pick right back up where you left off in the unemployment benefits process. If you were at the end of the second extension, that's likely where you'll pick back up.

Bleh... I feel for ya man. Can't be comfortable coming back to work and finding yourself right back in front of a firing squad again.

OHGreat is on a distinguished road
I'm still out after 10 months myself and after talking to someone who got axed before me they count the last 18 months that you worked. She got reset to week 1 again based on the extra 6 months at the end of the year. Although she didn't work steady they based what she gets every week off those 6 months. She is getting a little less then she was originally but is also starting back at week 1. I'm a bit worried about this as well as I cant really afford to be taking less money. I would like to get reset to week 1 but if its less money I don't know that I would like that all that much either. The whole thing is hard to make sense of to be honest.
