Does Marquette have a train station or bus station and if so have any of you ever used those services from point A (?) to Marquette? - The Marqtran busses run steady, no trains, town isn't that big.
What about taxi or bus service in town like some small college towns have but not for college students only? Taxi's are available, not alot of them but taxi service is available. Once again, the town isn't that big or congested.
Do you have stores such as Costco or mainly small town grocery stores or a bigger one like Kroger's? A Home Depot or Lowes? There is a SuperOne grocery, Econo grocery, Shopko (smaller dept store), Wal Mart, Big Lots, Target, some dept / mall stores in the mall. There is also a menards (home depot like store) and a Lowes store
I would like to know about some small towns and/or on the outside of Marquette, in the country, not TOO far of a drive into town of Marquette too. Lots of mining heritage in Negaunee and Ishpeming, both those towns are aboput 20 minutes away from marquette, Big Bay is a smaller town about 30 minutes north of Marquette, lots of snow up in Big Bay, lots of outdoor rec up there, Munising is about an hour away from Marquette and is right on the shore of Lake superior, lots of outdoor stuff there, hiking, waterfalls, pictured rocks boat tour, glass bottom boat shipwreck tour, lots of snow there also. There is alot of hiking, biking, atv'ing, snowmobiling, snow shoeing, and skiing activities happening around these areas also. Negaunee has Suicide Hill, a place that is world renown for ski jumping, they normally do at least 1 big competition in the winter there. Marquette has Marquette Mountain for skiing/snowboarding etc.
Any or all information about Marquette would be very much appreciated.
Thank you!
