I'm looking to move to Ironwood, MI, and am wondering about the humidity in the summer. Also, I may only have a place to stay briefly when I first arrive so I was wondering if there are some rental resources I can check out (Rental.com and Apartments.com didn't show anything in the Ironwood, Bessemer, Wakefield area).

Is there a website that shows average humitity for July and August in various zip codes? I found one that only had major cities...

The humidity isn't bad. The UP is far north, and the summers are absolutely beautiful, with highs in the 60s and 70s and lows in the 50s. Low humidity. Hot weather is very rare.

I would try the local paper for rentals. Also try the City of Ironwood website, and the Chamber of Commerce.

The summertime humidity in da U.P. is not high at all. While it can get hot for a few days here and there it always cools off at night. Some mornings it can be a bit humid but nothing like the southern parts and it quickly disapitates.

At the bottom of each rental ad it'll say what area of the U.P. it is for so pay close attention to that part.

Ironwood is in the "banana belt" of the U.P. Nice summers and mild(er) winters. You won't have any problem finding a rental. Houses are cheap and plentiful both for rent and sale. You can actually buy a fixer house for under 10K. If you need a job it could be a rough go. If you have an income you are in great shape. Come for a visit and look around. Good luck!
